Summer camp is almost here! I am so excited to share the warm summer days with your children exploring, playing, singing, creating, and just having fun!
Drop-off and Pick-up
I will be ready to greet your child at the library doors from 8:30-8:45am.
Those children staying for the half day session will be ready to greet you at 12:30pm at the library doors. Full day children will be ready at 3:15pm, also at the library doors. Please make every effort to be on time.
It would be very helpful if you could email me if your child will be absent for any reason.
Your child will need the following supplies:
- Extra Clothes (at least 2 sets of tops, bottoms, socks, shoes & underwear). We will be doing a lot of water play and painting!
- Waterproof/Playground Shoes (These should be sturdy and comfortable and able to get wet – Keens, Natives, Tevas and Crocs work great. No flip flops, please!)
- Bathing suit
- Diapers and wipes if necessary or extra underwear
- Water bottle to be kept at school
- Wet bag for soiled/wet clothes
- Lunch and Snack (in insulated bag)
- Backpack or bag
- Please Label everything
*****Please apply sunscreen before camp. Per Dept. of Heath Regulations, we cannot apply sunscreen to your child. With the sunscreen you provide, we will teach them how to apply it on their own.
Your child will have a locker to store their supplies in for the week that they are in camp.
All children will need a substantial snack and lunch each day. I always suggest sending in more food than you think your child will eat. We will be very busy and that may spark your child’s appetite. I will send home anything that’s left over so that you can gauge how much was eaten.
As this is the first time many of you will be sending in a school lunch, here is some helpful information:
Please send in lunch in a labeled lunch box/bag- separate from his/her snack. We do not have refrigerator space for 10 lunch boxes, so be sure to include an ice pack to keep the food cold.
Lunch should be healthy and well balanced. Please include a protein (examples might be hummus, cheese, a hard boiled egg, a sandwich, cut up chicken, yogurt…), a fruit and or vegetable. You can also include a favorite healthy treat (chips, crackers, fruit snacks…) and a drink. Please be sure to send in any utensils your child may need for his/her meal. We do not have a microwave available to us. If your child prefers hot food, please send it in a thermos. (Cobb is a nut-free campus, nut-free food only.)
Nappers (children staying until 3:15pm)
Your child needs the following supplies:
- Crib sheet
- Child sized blanket
- Child sized pillow if needed
- Favorite stuffed animal if needed
Please send nap supplies in a labeled bag. They will be sent home at the end of each week for laundering.
I am looking forward to a fun six weeks. Feel free to touch base with me if there are questions or if you have any important information I should know. My email address is Judy.firstname.lastname@example.org
