About the Gathering

Little Acorns is a four-week gathering for infants and their caregivers to explore Montessori in a warm, welcoming environment while connecting with other families in the community.

Each session offers a calm space for babies to explore simple Montessori materials that support early movement, coordination, and discovery. Caregivers are invited to observe their child, learn about infant development, and share conversation with other parents.

Early parenthood can feel isolating. This gathering is designed to help families slow down, feel supported, and begin finding their village.

What to Expect

  • Infant exploration with Montessori materials thoughtfully selected for the earliest stages of development
  • Gentle guidance on early development from an experienced Montessori guide
  • Parent conversation and connection with other families in your season of life
  • A calm, unhurried pace designed to fit the rhythm of life with a young baby

Each Friday builds on the last. No prior Montessori experience needed.

WEEK 3

Language & Connection

How the everyday interactions between caregiver and infant – long before first words – nurture communication, trust, and deep bonding.

WEEK 4

Montessori at Home

Simple, practical ways to bring Montessori principles into daily life with your baby. No special materials required.

Why Montessori for Infants?

Dr. Maria Montessori described the period from birth to age three as the time of the “unconscious absorbent mind” – a window of extraordinary capacity in which infants absorb the language, movement patterns, and emotional rhythms of the world around them effortlessly and completely. This is not passive learning. It is formation.

A Montessori approach to infancy honors this by creating environments that are rich in sensory invitation but gentle in pace – spaces where a baby can reach, grasp, look, and discover on their own terms, with a caregiver nearby as a calm, attentive presence.

Little Acorns is an introduction to that philosophy – for your baby, and for you.
