Enriching camps for children ages 1.5 to 12, set on our beautiful 6-acre campus in the heart of the Farmington Valley.

At Cobb School Montessori, we offer a diverse range of summer camps designed for children ages 1.5 to 12. Our camps are inspired by Montessori principles and designed to engage young minds through play, discovery, and exploration. Set on our expansive 6-acre campus, our programs cater to all interests—from art and sports to nature and circus skills. Whether you’re looking for a single week of adventure or a full summer experience, we have something for every child.

Toddler Camp (Ages ~ 1.5-3)

Toddler Summer Camp – Explore, Discover, and Grow!

Designed for children ages 1.5 to 3, this camp is led by an AMI-trained teacher and offers a safe, nurturing environment where Montessori principles guide every activity. Your toddler will explore music, movement, books, baking, and free play, engaging their senses and encouraging learning through play. Toddler camp is open to current and incoming toddler students ONLY.

Primary Camp (Ages ~ 3-6)

Primary Summer Camp – Explore, Create, and Play!

For children ages 3-6, our Montessori-inspired Primary/Nest Camp offers hands-on exploration in nature, arts, crafts, healthy cooking, and more. Each week focuses on a theme combining science, art, music, and food, while fostering creativity, outdoor play, and social growth.

**Students must independently use the toilet to attend primary camp. If your child will be entering our Primary Program in the fall, they may attend our Primary Camp, but please speak with your toddler teacher to make sure it’s a good fit.
Primary camp is open to current and incoming toddler students ONLY.

Elementary Camps (Ages 6-12)

Arts, STEAM, and Adventure for Elementary Students – Now OPEN to the Public!

We’re excited to announce that Cobb Elementary’s summer camps are now open to the public! Designed for children ages 6 to 12, our camps offer a variety of enriching experiences that inspire creativity, curiosity, and fun. From exploring the world of art with our Artist-in-Residence, Mr. Chris, to mastering chess strategies while diving into hands-on STEAM projects, our camps provide the perfect opportunity for kids to learn new skills, make lasting memories, and unleash their imaginations. Whether your child is an aspiring artist, a budding chess champion, or ready to run away with the circus, there’s something for everyone this summer!

Circus Camp

Step Right Up! Join the Circus with Troy Wunderle!

Join the Circus for a week! Troy Wunderle has been coming to Cobb for over 25 years, and now, for the first time, he is offering a week-long summer program for students 6-13 years.

Wunderle’s Circus Camp promotes world-class circus training, entertainment, and exploration for all. Throughout camp, participants learn stunts, hone skills, combine disciplines, and grow self-confidence. Participants take part in 6 hours of circus fun daily. Training equipment can include but is not limited to juggling scarves, balls, rings, clubs, spinning plates, devil sticks, diabolos, feathers, hula hoops, jump ropes, lassos, unicycles, rolling globes, pogo sticks, moon hoopers, pedalos, ripsticks, rola bolas, and stilts. In addition to this equipment games, human stunts, acrobatics, human pyramids, and clowning can also be taught.

Camp will culminate with a fun and fast-paced show for the community. Through the rich and time-treasured delights of the circus, WBTA aims to spread joy, create memories, and inspire dreams.

Arts Camp

Led by Cobb’s Artist-in-Residence, Mr. Chris, this camp gives young artists the chance to experiment with painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media in a fun, creative environment. Perfect for budding artists, each day will offer new materials, techniques, and the opportunity to create original works of art. For Elementary students only. STEAM/Chess Camp directly follows Art Camp. Sign-up for both to make a full day of it.

STEAM/Chess Camp

Our Chess & STEAM Camp combines strategic thinking with hands-on innovation. Campers will spend their afternoons learning chess strategies and solving puzzles, while also exploring exciting STEAM projects. This dynamic camp fosters both critical thinking and creativity. For Elementary students only. This camp runs directly after Mr. Chris’s art camp. Start the day with art and finish with STEAM and Chess.

Art and Sports Camp

Art and Sports Camp

Looking for the perfect way to wrap up the summer? Join Mr. Chris for our Combo Art & Sports Camp. This camp combines artistic expression with active sports, giving children a well-rounded experience before school starts. In the morning, they’ll explore art projects, and in the afternoon, they’ll engage in team games, physical challenges, and more. For Elementary students only.
